No, although Youth is the primary target audience, our Encouragement Coaching is for adults as well. The goal is to build a team of 1,000 Encouragement Coaches who can pass encouragement on to youth, people in the Civic Community, Business Marketplace & Churches.

Through 8 weeks of in-person or online sessions by Certified Encouragement Coaching Trainers and Videos from Justin Fatica the Founder of You’re Amazing.

There will be a sliding scale fee for Fitness Center Membership. We do not want to exclude any youth or family from experiencing the Fitness Center due to financial constraints.

You’re Amazing Fitness is very different from other gyms for four key reasons:

1. YAF has an inherently unique staff, volunteer and member commitment levels because our foundation is based on the 8 Disciplines of Encouragement. YAF is designed to achieve a special set of desired outcomes that transcend business as usual. While we understand and address the traditional customer, financial and operational aspects of establishing fitness centers, we also focus on transformational goals.

2. Build new and lasting bridges between diverse groups of people -rich and poor, multi-cultural backgrounds, disadvantaged and privileged-- by providing financial and location accessibility to people traditionally unable to be a member of such a world-class fitness facility. YAF is designed so that fees are structured on a sliding scale, so that youth and families are able to experience the Fitness Center. Our model goes a step further by establishing mentoring relationships which breaks down barriers and creates friendships between people from diverse backgrounds.

3. Guide individuals as they embrace joyful service as the way to have an amazing life.

4. Make the Christian faith relevant by meeting people where they are and by proclaiming Jesus Christ through strong examples thereby saving souls.

● Columbus has a significant need and all the required elements to make one of the initial YAF facilities highly successful. As the capital of Ohio with a population of 906,528 (July 2021 US Census), Columbus is composed of a unique combination of very wealthy and very poor residents coupled with one of the highest crime rates in the country (39 per 1000 residents). Columbus has both the need and the opportunity to institute a life- changing YAF facility due to a resilient and proactive faith community.

● The Columbus faith community has multiple organizations focused on youth programs who have expressed a desire to partner with You’re Amazing Fitness.

● Founder and Executive Director Justin Fatica has a proven record of working with youth in inner cities to spread the joy of the Gospel, radically changing lives. Justin’s nonprofit Hard As Nails Ministry (HANM) has relocated its missionaries to Columbus, OH. These HANM missionaries will serve as Encouragement Coaches at the YAF facility, creating the unique atmosphere necessary for people from diverse backgrounds to feel welcome and a part of YAF description

● Yes, several initiatives are underway which have accelerated the establishment of the YAF facility in Columbus. They include the following:

a. YAF 501(c)3 and organizational infrastructure is already in place including a board of directors and advisory board.

b. A docuseries is being filmed called In the Paint featuring “Team Amazing” which will be released in 2025. The series will showcase the implementation of the Disciplines on which YAF is based (See the trailer here).

c. A book is being written entitled “Encouragement!” by best-selling author Justin Fatica, with planned publication in 2025.

d. Detailed business and fundraising plans have been written to reflect the Columbus Ohio environment, which will serve as the blueprint for moving forward.

Much progress was made in Syracuse towards establishing the vision of YAF.

The partnership and discussions with Columbus Community Leaders occurred at the same time as the implementation of YAF including site procurement, fundraising etc. was beginning. The Syracuse Community is much smaller than Columbus—about 1/5 of the population.

Syracuse has very few corporate headquarters compared to Columbus and has less opportunities for partnering. We also believe that with the spiritual fruit that will be produced from YAF that God is calling us to move in the direction of Columbus.
